 Jonnie Andersen has a MFA from Yale University and a BFA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Andersen has taught for the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, College of Southern Nevada, and Hastings College.

 After graduating with a MFA, Jonnie interned for Martin Parr in London, England. Her work has been shown at Murray Guy Gallery in NYC and venues nationwide. Her work has also been featured on Jezebel as well as the cover of the Los Angeles Times.

  She's worked as a professional boxer, a professional welder, a captain, bartender, front waitor, back waitor, bus girl, dishwasher, tanning bed cleaner, substitute teacher, college professor, interior designer, antique purveyor, sommelier, Glamour Shots photographer, Las Vegas cocktail waitress, pizza delivery driver, liquor store clerk, web designer, house painter, and blogger.

 Andersen currently lives and works in her studio in rural Nebraska.
